The Book of Abstracts is in press now and the regularly updated Book of Abstract in PDF can be downloaded. It is not identical to the printed version. List of Participants updated to 12th August with addresses and emails of participants can downloaded. The first version of EFP Congress program has been finished. Due to relatively high interest of participants to present oral contributions, namely in sessions Primate ethology and socio-biology and Primate cognition, the parallel sessions program have had to be extended till Friday. Poster session will be officially on Wednesday from 17:00 till 18:30. We have tried to follow schedule published on web page as Preliminary Program but it was not possible in all the cases. Consequently, we apologise for inconvenience to all participants where we had to change their schedule.
Because of many request and emails concerning accommodation in University facilities we have prepared lists of accommodated persons – Student Hostel Vltava-Hostivař, Professor Hostel Petrská, Professor Hostel Jinonice and Professor Hostel Celetná. The applications for accommodation has been closed and we are not able at the moment to book rooms for any other participants.
We kindly ask the participants who paid by the bank transfer to take a copy of a bank transfer document to Prague or to send us a scanned copy by email. We are not able to determine for which participant the payment was made in some case and which items were paid. Some payments have been made for several participants without precise remarks for concrete participants or there are other difficulties with recognition of structure of payments. Thanks in advance.
All payments that will be made after arrival to Prague at the registration desk must be made in Czech Crowns. We have no right to manipulate with foreign currencies. Therefore pay attention to the table of payments below:
All payments for the hostels should be made at the registration desk in Czech Crowns. The price is 400 CZK for single bed & breakfast room in Petrská hostel (Petrská 3, 110 00 Praha 1) and 800 for double bed room for participants. It will be 250 CZK for single bed room in Vltava - Hostivař hostel (Weilova 2, 102 23 Praha 10) and 400 CZK for double bed room for participants. However, at the moment all participants have been accommodated in single bed rooms. We believe it is more convenient and the price difference is less then one Euro per day.
For accompanying persons the price is not funded by the university and, consequently, the price for the double bed room will cost approximately 150 - 200 CZK more.
Important notion: All payments for accommodation must be made at the registration desk. It guarantees a special rate for participants. However, registration of accommodation must be made by participants individually at the reception desk of each hostel that will be provided by the list of participants that should be accommodated. The list of accommodated participants according to individual hostels will be published at the Congress web page. Organising committee will take no responsibility for any changes made by individual participants. This must be agreed with the offices of individual hostels personally by the participants. We are not able to book accommodation for any person which is not participant or an official guest of the Congress like accompanying persons. At the moment the booking of the rooms is closed and any change in accommodation cannot be guaranteed by the Organising committee since August 14, 2007.
The traveling to the hostels will be published as soon as possible. In general, Vltava – Hostivař hostel is some 25 minutes by tram 22 (tram stop Národní třída – Tesko) without any change of line (the trams are going to the hostel also by nights – every 30 minutes). Petrská hostel is some 10 minutes for the faculty by trams 3 and 24 (tram stop Lazarská just in front of the Faculty).
First preliminary version of the program without detail information of hour of the individual lectures is also available in downloadable version. Because of a large number of the participants organizing committee will guarantee the day of the lecture only. More detailed program will be available at the web page in the second half of the August.

Participants are kindly asked to check abstracts and list of participants for including their names and abstracts into the program. In the case of any problems, please, contact Organising committee as soon as possible.
The 2nd Congress of the European Federation for Primatology (EFP) will be organized on September 3 – 7, 2007 by the Department of Biology and Environmental Education of the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague in cooperation with the Czech Group of Primatologists at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague. The Congress will be held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Pavel Beneš.
The Congress lecture rooms are situated in the main building of the Faculty in the very central part of Prague (Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, M. D. Rettigové 4, Praha 1) where it is easy to get by public transport.
